Oil Tanks

Just as oil heat has changed, so have oil tanks!
In addition to standard steel oil tanks, Modern Comfort Systems now offer Vilco fiberglass oil tanks, and double-walled Roth oil tanks.
We also offer a Tank Protection Plan that covers the replacement cost of your existing aboveground oil tank.
Oil tanks are safe and convenient! Studies show that less than 0.25% of all heating oil tanks ever experience a leak. Keep in mind, however that metal tanks are susceptible to decay due to dampness and humidity, and will eventually need to be replaced.
Proper installation and maintenance, will help you get the maximum number of years of service from your oil tank.
When building a new home or replacing an old tank, Modern Comfort Systems can help you select the right oil tank to meet your particular fueling needs. We will then install your new tank with unsurpassed care and attention to detail.

Vilco Oil Tanks
Vilco tanks are made of UV and fire resistant fiberglass that will never rust, and are covered by a 30-year replacement warranty. Vilco tanks can be installed indoors or outdoors, and have dimensions that are very comparable to conventional aboveground oil tanks.

Roth Oil Tanks
ROTH double-wall tanks are designed to offer the highest level of environmental protection. The inner tank is made of high-density polyethylene that is seamless and absolutely leak-proof and corrosion-resistant. For maximum protection, the outer tank is made of leak-proof, galvanized steel, which is capable of containing at least 110% of the capacity of the inner tank.
Installed indoors or outdoors, its upright design (about the size of a refrigerator) makes for an easy fit in places that would be impossible for a conventional steel tank. Therefore, if you are remodeling your home or finishing a basement, a Roth tank may be a great choice for you! Roth tanks also come with a $1 million clean-up protection policy.
